My Grade 11 English teacher, Mrs Goldstein, had to stay in her classroom at break times to listen to my high school orals – because I had too much performance anxiety to present to the class. When she found out what I do for a living, she almost died.
But then, it all made sense. Because I’m not a speaker who teaches and writes. I’m a teacher and writer who speaks. I don’t tell people what they need to hear. I teach them what they need to know. A post-motivational speaker.
